The Law Firm Alliance (LFA) is a global network of independent law firms which was recently honored with a Chambers ranking. Each year, the LFA hosts the LFA European Summit in a different European city. In 2026, it was Vienna’s turn, and FRRA as Austrian LFA member had the honor and great pleasure of serving as host. Over 50 participants from 15 countries gathered to exchange ideas, get to know one another better, and address important global issues.
The exciting framework program included, among other things, a presentation and panel discussion on Shareholder Agreements. Our partner Paul Schörghofer spoke alongside colleagues from Switzerland and the UK about the key issues in shareholder agreements in their respective countries. Another Austrian contribution came from Sophie Martinetz: AI in legal practice—data, trends, and honest reflections on how artificial intelligence is already changing the way lawyers work—and will continue to do so.
The LFA European Summit in Vienna also had plenty to offer beyond legal topics: a city tour, a visit to the wine tavern Fuhrgassl-Huber in Neustift, and, as the grand finale, the conference dinner in the Marble Hall of the Hotel Sacher.
We are delighted with the success of the event and want to thank all the participants for coming to Vienna!
