Frotz Rechtsanwälte OG is committed on growth from its own ranks and expands its partner team: Stefan Hammerschmidt and Florian Wünscher were appointed as Contract Partners with effect as of 1 January 2025. Nikolaus Feldscher joined the team around founding partners Stephan Frotz, Clemens Spitznagel and Paul Schörghofer as a further attorney at law on 19 March 2025. Frotz Rechtsanwälte OG thereby underlines its position as one of the leading Austrian law firms in commercial law with a strong focus on corporate law.
Stefan Hammerschmidt (35) completed his doctorate in corporate law in 2015 (‘Board responsibility for financial investments in the joint-stock company’) and also studied business law (LL.B. 2012). In March 2022 he joined Frotz Rechtsanwälte OG as an attorney at law, having previously worked for several years for well-known law firms in Vienna and Linz. He supports his clients in all matters of corporate law, including reorganisations and M&A projects. Furthermore, Stefan Hammerschmidt advises on private higher education law and also has extensive expertise in this area.
Florian Wünscher (35) studied law at the University of Graz (Mag. iur. 2015), completed a master’s degree in international business law at Queen Mary University of London (LL.M. 2016) and is currently undertaking his doctorate in corporate law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He has been part of the team at Frotz Rechtsanwälte OG since April 2022; prior to that, he worked for several years at an international commercial law firm and as an in-house counsel in Vienna. His practice also focuses on all areas of corporate law including M&A as well as venture capital and private equity transactions, additionally, with a particular focus on contentious corporate law. A further area of expertise of Florian Wünscher is advising and representing national and international clients in court and arbitration proceedings. He regularly publishes in his areas of expertise and is the editor of a commentary on the Flexible Companies Act.
Nikolaus Feldscher (29) studied law at the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. 2018, Dr. iur. 2025 ‘The acquisition of fruits by the bona fide possessor’), the Vienna University of Economics and Business (LL.B. 2019) and the University of Oxford (MJur 2021), where he received multiple awards. He joined Frotz Rechtsanwälte OG as an associate in October 2024 and has been strengthening the team as an attorney at law since March 2025, having previously gained several years of experience in an international commercial law firm in the areas of corporate and reorganisation law, shareholder disputes, M&A and commercial law. Nikolaus Feldscher is also specialised in banking law, in particular regulatory banking law, and private foundation law.
